Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!      Thursday, November 22, 2007 - 10:49 PM
Thanksgiving dinners were awesome!  THANK YOU MICHELLE & BRENT!  THANK YOU LANNIE & DUKE!  I did make my Spaghetti Squash and take it to both dinners.  First we went to Duke and Lannie's house.  She had a pretty awesome spread as usual.  I tried to eat light since it was so early and we still were going over to Michelle & Brent's house later for another meal but when the time came around for desert I just couldn’t help it.  There home baking is some of the best thing I have ever eaten.  There was Carol's Pecan Pie and two pies Lannie made.  One a caramel pumpkin cheesecake was absolutely divine!  I think I ate more deserts than I did actual food.  Nick was at the meal, unfortunately Carol was not but we sent our love and Thanksgiving wishes home with Nick!  We did get to meet Lannie's son who is in town.  That was really cool.  She has talked so much of him it was nice to get to meet him.  I can't believe all the men in that family don't weigh 400 lbs given the wonderful cooking always done by the women in the family!  It was good to see Duke again, it seems he will be finishing up his duties in Philadelphia by the end of the year.  That must make Lannie so happy.  I am glad he is coming home.  It's too cold out there!  Everyone there seemed to like Loretta/my squash.  Right on!

Next we headed over to the Hall's house.  Michelle had quite the spread laid out.  I brought bacon green beans and the squash.  Mom brought some relish platters, thank god!  I love veggies!  Emily was pretty content and happy the entire evening.  Matthew was really good as well.  Alex spent most of the time upstairs but we did get him to stick around and play some dominos after dinner.  It must be so "uncool" to hang out with all us old farts!  LOL  Mom, Michelle and I all planned to go out for the madness of Black Friday.  None of us have ever done it so we decided to give it a try.  We are all meeting up at 5am at Mom's.  That's nothing though, a lot of stores are opening at 3am!  What!  Not me!    As I sit here the news is actually talking about stores that will open at midnight to begin shopping.  This is getting crazy.  All in all I had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I wish we would of called all the Grandparents but I am a slacker and forgot to before it got too late.

I am really thankful for all of my family, including the newest additions; the Daultons and Bensons.  Family truly is the most important thing along with those you allow yourself to love.  I am blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life to love and to be loved by.  Soon Ash & I will start on our own family and I am really happy about that.  I love you all so much and I want you all to truly know that you are my continued number one priority and hopefully I can continue to show it to each and every one of you!  You are in my mind and heart every single day.  I am sorry for anything I ever did to any of you to make you feel hurt or sorrow of any degree.  I am currently trying to live a genuine and healthy life that I can share with you all for as long as possible!  The author Richard Carlson of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff recently died and something he used to say all the time was as each thing happens you need to ask yourself will it matter on my deathbed?  Or would it even matter in 1 year, 5 or 10 years from now.  He was big on defining and keeping in mind the true and important priorities of which there are few.  One thing is for sure you are all what matters to me - today, tomorrow, next year, 5 or 10 years and on my own death bed thoughts of loving you all will reign most important.
